Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 25, 2026
This website located at https://inmotionheating.com/ (the “Site”) is owned and operated by InMotion Mechanical, Inc., doing business as InMotion Mechanical (“InMotion Mechanical,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Protecting the privacy of our visitors is one of our main priorities. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Our companion Terms of Service govern your broader use of the Site.
This Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and to visitors of the Site regarding information they share with, or that is collected by, InMotion Mechanical through the Site. It does not apply to information collected offline or through channels other than the Site. By using the Site, you consent to this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
Information We Collect
The personal information we ask you to provide, and why, will be made clear at the point we request it. In general, when you submit our Schedule Now / Contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, service address, city, how you heard about us, and the contents of your message.
SMS / Text Message Communications
You may opt in to receive text messages from InMotion Mechanical through our Schedule Now / Contact form. At the point of submission, the form presents two separate, unchecked checkboxes:
Transactional messages — “I consent to receive text messages about my service request, including scheduling confirmations, technician dispatch and arrival updates, appointment reminders, and invoice or billing notices.” Checking this box authorizes messages related to your service request only.
Marketing messages — “I consent to receive marketing text messages from InMotion Mechanical, including seasonal maintenance reminders and special offers.” This is a separate, independent opt-in. We send marketing or promotional text messages only to contacts who check this second box. Checking the transactional box alone does not enroll you in marketing messages, and you may check either box, both, or neither.
Neither checkbox is selected by default, and consent to either program is never a condition of doing business with us by any other means.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Consent to receive text messages is optional and is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from InMotion Mechanical. You may request service without opting in by leaving the text message checkboxes unchecked, or by calling 530.210.2275.
- You must be 18 or older to opt in.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out; you will receive one final confirmation message.
- Reply HELP, email info@inmotionheating.com, or call 530.210.2275 for assistance.
We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your mobile number or SMS opt-in data with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes, regardless of whether you opted into transactional messages, marketing messages, or both. Your mobile number is shared only with FieldEdge, the field service and messaging platform we use to send messages on our behalf, solely for that purpose. We retain your mobile number only as long as needed to respond to your service request or to fulfill an active marketing opt-in, or until you opt out — after which it is removed from active messaging lists within our platform’s standard retention window.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the Site;
- respond to your service requests and communicate with you about scheduling, technician visits, and invoicing;
- improve, personalize, and analyze how visitors use the Site;
- detect and prevent fraud; and
- send you marketing or promotional text messages, but only if you separately opted in to that program as described above.
We do not use information collected through SMS opt-in for any purpose beyond the program(s) you opted into.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers who help us operate our business, including:
- FieldEdge, our field service management and text-messaging platform, to schedule appointments and send you the messages described above;
- Google (Site Kit / Analytics), to understand how visitors use the Site; and
- Meta (Facebook Pixel), embedded on the Site to measure and deliver advertising — see “Advertising Partners” below.
How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Log Files and Cookies
Like most websites, we use log files and cookies to record standard visitor information (such as IP address, browser type, referring pages, and timestamps) for site analytics and administration. This information is not linked to anything personally identifiable. You can disable cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Advertising Partners and Third-Party Ad Networks
Our Site includes the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and may display embedded content from third parties (such as our Google/Yelp review widget). These technologies are controlled by the third party, not by InMotion Mechanical, and may be used to measure ad performance, retarget visitors, or personalize content. We have no access to or control over these third-party cookies. Please consult each partner’s own privacy policy for details on their practices and opt-out options.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to request disclosure of the categories and specific personal data we’ve collected, to request deletion of that data, to request correction of inaccurate data, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data (we do not sell personal data for monetary consideration; use of advertising pixels such as the Meta Pixel may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA, and we honor opt-out requests for this). We recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid request to opt out of sale/sharing, and we will confirm that your opt-out choice has been honored. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below; we will respond within the time required by law. You will not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
Nevada Privacy Rights (NRS 603A)
Nevada residents have the right to submit a verified request opting out of the sale of certain covered information. We do not sell covered information. To submit a request under Nevada law, contact us using the information below; we will respond within the time required by law.
Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and no one under 18 may opt in to text messages from us. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly remove it.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting to this page, and the “Effective Date” above will be updated accordingly.
